An excellent single malt here from the Ben Nevis Distillery, independently bottled for The Single Malts of Scotland range. This one was aged for 24 years, from 1997 to 2021, maturing in a single sherry butt the whole time. It was eventually bottled up at cask strength, with an outturn of 561 bottles, all ready to show off the glory of sherried Ben Nevis.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Mince pie filling, toasted oak, a touch of flint, buttered bread.

Palate

Sponge cake with raspberry jam and fresh cream, gingerbread, a few red chilli flakes.

Finish

Buttery vanilla, caramelised fruit, redcurrants.
