Ben Nevis 18 Year Old 2007 - Woodrow's of Edinburgh
A characterful Highland single malt from Ben Nevis Distillery, independently bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh. Distilled in 2007 and matured for 18 years, including a finish in a second-fill oloroso hogshead, this cask strength release balances Ben Nevis’ famously funky spirit with sherry richness. Just 339 bottles from cask #9044.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dried apricot, struck flint, walnut cake, and orange marmalade, with earthy dunnage notes underneath.
Palate
Oily malt and dark fruit sweetness mingle with cocoa, roasted nuts, savoury spice, and that trademark Ben Nevis mineral funk.
Finish
Savoury, with lingering sherry, tobacco, and peppery oak.
