This 10 year old Ben Nevis single malt exudes some beautiful coffee, chocolate and toffeed peat notes, a firm representative of the Western Highland style.
Fresh and quite dry. A supple greenness with soft leafy notes with a rich fruitiness. Hints of orange and Seville marmalade with a light vinous character and nutty undertones.
Gentle dryness. Toffee. Looming omnipresent are solid peat notes with a bitter sweetness.
Silken, toffee and caramel notes balanced with a touch of mochaccino and dark chocolate on the tail.

One of my absolute favorites!! Love the salted caramel hints, then salted lemons. Then pepper. Slightly sooty. And really very fresh! Always in my cabinet.
I don't get any of the tasting notes above. I get a sweetness, a very pleasant fruitiness...particularly strawberries, bizarrely. There's an acceptable saltiness in there somewhere. It's quite nice to the taste. 100% zero peat...thankfully ! For £30 a bottle, you'll be doing well to do better !
Smooth and sweet, slight hint of vanilla and a little bit creamy. Very nice on the pallet.
It has an artificial sweet taste that covers the tongue for minutes. (Sulphur?) All the typical Ben Nevis aromas and some of the taste are there but it's the first one I can't recommend, because all seems to be hidden behind a sweet wall. I had about 15 different types of Ben Nevis before and liked them all a lot better! Here I miss the salty peppery experience that is so adorable.
One of the best 10yo malts for me. Highly recommend
