Ben Nevis 10 Year Old

This 10 year old Ben Nevis single malt exudes some beautiful coffee, chocolate and toffeed peat notes, a firm representative of the Western Highland style.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Fresh and quite dry. A supple greenness with soft leafy notes with a rich fruitiness. Hints of orange and Seville marmalade with a light vinous character and nutty undertones.

Palate Gentle dryness. Toffee. Looming omnipresent are solid peat notes with a bitter sweetness.

Finish Silken, toffee and caramel notes balanced with a touch of mochaccino and dark chocolate on the tail.

Whisky that drinks like Wine!
"Excellent old school"- a previous reviewer gave very sage advice. (Please refer to the comment). This 'Dew' of Ben Nevis is actually better than 9/10ths of all whisky in the world particularly in the quality of the smoothness and drinkability. At 46% most need water to be consumable with any sort of 'gusto' - not so here. You will not get this calibre of spirit at any price or age without spending mega in the future. You have been warned!

Delicious tipple
Absolutely lovely dram after the bottle has been opened for a day or two. I wasn't sure about it when i first opened the bottle but it is quickly becoming one of my favourites, really nice stuff!. Pretty expensive for a 10 year old whisky but it is a beauty.

Unique and amazing
A whisky, like Springbank, that separates itself from the rest. Wonderful winterdram!

FAREWELL MY LOVELY...
This is EXCEPTIONAL Scotch, and CURRENTLY at a reasonable price... if you can dang get it!!! My advice to any Whisky lover is, IT WON'T LAST in this iteration and will be subsequently marketed as a premium foreign product... mark my words.

Unique,splendid bottle, and wonderful contents!!!
Tried a number of bottles over the last five years and was very disappointed. The Whisky was dark in colour (Caramel)? and had a pungent aroma and displeasing taste to it. Fast forward to today, and the fluid and bottle/cork appear to have 'morphed' into something that probably resembles what the originators intended it to be... damn fine Scotch! The particular distillation and subsequent maturation of the article that I am appraising, is totally leaps and bounds ahead of the more recent offerings. It appears to be of a natural hue and un-chill filtered due to the tint and viscosity. I take this opportunity to commend the Management for the wisdom to return this article to its former glory.

Must have
I Didn't have high expectations it being just 10 years of age and sold at meet 30GBP. However I was wrong. It was definitely the best whisky at this price I have had a chance to try. Pleasent sweet notes. hints of vanilla and caramel. It just lingers in your month. Perfect desert whisky! Must have !!
