Ben Nevis 10 Year Old 2011 (cask 2345) - Infrequent Flyers (Alistair Walker)

Ben Nevis 10yo 2011 #2345 Bottling Note

The folks at indie bottler Alistair Walker checked in at Ben Nevis Distillery to select this splendid single malt. Distilled in 2011, the whisky spent a decade resting in an ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead, which finally yielded a total of 297 bottles for Alistair Walker's Infrequent Flyers series.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Soaked sultanas and dates lead the way, with distant earthy oak.

Palate: Dark chocolate raisins and caramelised pecans mingle with zesty orange peels, before roasted coffee grounds and maple syrup join.

Finish: Layers of drying, woody spice, with clove, cinnamon, and bittersweet oak balancing sherried fruits.
