The flagship release from Belmont Farm's Kopper Kettle range, it's a Virginia whiskey! A trio of farm-grown grains (corn, wheat, barley) go into this one, and it's double oaked – first rested in Virginia oak and apple wood for two months, before it's transferred to oak casks for four years of ageing.
We're fairly new to this world and bought all four of the Kopper Kettle range... This was by far our least favourite of them and I'd only use it as a mixer. For the price, it's OK compared with your usual £30 supermarket stuff but for the extra tenner, pleeeeaaaeaase just skip this and get the 6 year bonded bottle instead which is so much better! Want to drink on ice? Look at it's bigger brother. But put it in a whiskey sour or similar and it's ok.
Interesting flavour profile, this is to be applauded. A few more years in cask would do wonders for this.
