Quite soft and gentle. Malted barley and hints of cut herbs and a fresh floral note. Cereal and grist with a little honey.

I bought it because it was being dumped in my local supermarket at rock bottom price. I started to drink it having just finished my bottle of JW black label. To my amazement it was damn near identical, slightly more smoke and peat, which I love. Bland whiskies are for sissies. This will put hair on your chest.
The scent wasn't too bad at the start, I really felt the effect of the caramel dye. It doesn't taste good enough when you taste it in neat. The addition of ice cubes also didn't help the taste get better at all. The addition of Coke makes it taste a little better.
Such a pure alcohol aftertaste which heavily outbalances any flavour notes. When the bottle was opened it had this chemical like woody smell. Went straight back to Jameson. Wouldn’t recommend neat, maybe with a mixer.
I am wondering if they changed the recipe the after taste is awful
