Bell's Original is a smooth, well-rounded whisky with a hint of smoke. It's perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks.
Bell's whisky is the United Kingdom's most popular blended Scotch whisky, this is the standard release of Bell's Original, with notes of fresh herbs on the nose with cereal sweetness on the palate.
Quite soft and gentle. Malted barley and hints of cut herbs and a fresh floral note. Cereal and grist with a little honey.
Quite smooth, medium body. Barley and cereals with nut oils, hints of wood and spice.
Short with notes of fruitcake and smoke.

Totally agree with 4/2/2016.review.I,m a serious whisky drinker and this latest batch of Bells is awful! Purchased from Morrisons on 13/2/2016
I've just bought a bottle of Bells original to try,it tastes awful. Previously I had bought a bottle of Grouse, which was perfect. They were both the same price in Tesco, I am going to try and get my ,money back for the Bells, it is so awful.
Considering the price and really smoth taste , you can put it, at least, at the same shelf with Ballentine's and JW Red .
opinion is divided
I really have no idea why people still drink this! It used to be alright.. But lately (last couple of years...) beyond foul! Can anyone enlighten me as to why Bells now tastes so bad? Actually, don't waste your time... Nothing could persuade me to drink it ever again! Any I've had bought, is always met with Extreme Gratitude. (Then the offending swallow has been re-gifted) No thank you, not even for free!!!
