This impressive bourbon is brought to us as part of the Bardstown Bourbon Company's Collaborative Series. For this edition, Bardstown teamed up with Silver Oak, which has been making cabernet wine in California for over 50 years, that's exclusively aged in premium oak barrels. Here we have a blend of bourbon aged between nine and 14 years, finished for 17 months in Silver Oak wine barrels, bringing interesting layers of rich, fruity depth and tannic spice.
Layers of baked strawberry, plum, and roasted nuts are highlighted by cinnamon and cocoa. A full-bodied palate of caramel and fig leads to an exquisite, lightly tannic balance of oak, spice, and blackberry.
