“This was the first bottle of Malt I purchased in 1989 on a scuba diving trip to the Isle of Bute. The bottle was an unusual shape with an off centred spout. I felt really lucky to choose such a quality dram first time out. I was very disappointed when it was discontinued and now it's moved well out of my price bracket. The 12 yo DW took its place for a while but as someone has already said that has now become very inconsistent.”

A beloved and now retired member of the Balvenie range, created by the distillery's malt master, David Stewart. Founder's Reserve combines a marriage of 10-year-old sherry and bourbon cask matured single malt.
