This cracking peated cask Balvenie was released in 2010. It was aged traditionally to begin with, before a finish in casks that previously held peated whisky. The result is well balanced and not overpowering. A success!

The Balvenie makes the best scotch in my opinion. I especially like the 14 Caribbean Cask. This one, if you like a peaty scotch, will be perfect for you. If you don't care for the peat flavor, stay away from it.
Very balanced peaty taste, delivers a smooth after taste - can definitely recommend. I have tasted a few different Balvenies, but this one stands out as my favourite.
Just to make sure it shows... Easily a 9 of 10!
