A Hepburn's Choice bottling of single malt Scotch whisky from the Balmenach distillery, aged for 12 years in a single refill hogshead cask since distillation occurred in 2004. There was an outturn of just 396 bottles, all boasting a tasty 46% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Tart pink grapefruit and drizzles of honey are tempered by cut grass and warm spices.
Palate
Through oily malt comes earthy vanilla, squeezes of lemon juice and a touch of tobacco.
Finish
The citrus persists through a medium length finish, but is tastefully maintained by woody spice.
