Ballantine's 21 Year Old
An old bottling of this classic blended Scotch whisky, thoroughly indulgent and fabulously delicious. A high proportion of the whiskies in the recipe have been matured in European oak casks, giving a nutty, dried fruit influence. Ballantine’s is renowned for smoothness, and this expression is an impeccable example.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Lively yet refined, the stone fruit, marmalade and liquorice notes jump from the glass. There’s some aromatic spice in there too, and even a whisper of wood smoke.
Palate
Sweeter and more intense on the palate, here honey comes through along with an abundance of apple, juicy orange and rich hedgerow fruits. A macadamia, pecan quality adds depth.
Finish
Dried fruits and more of that honey. The suggestion of wood smoke comes back here, too.
Overall
Smooth, complex and luxurious. A real treat of a dram.
