Single barrel single malt all the way from Texas, USA! It's a brilliant expression from the Balcones bunch, which has been bottled up for Drinks by the Dram at cask strength – a hefty 63.1% ABV. Expect a huge flavour profile from this one...
Orange liqueur, roast chestnuts, fried banana, and Demerara sugar.
Toasted oak and brown sugar, with hints of peach and pineapple.
Raspberry and blackcurrant, plus a touch of digestive biscuit maltiness.
This is very strong (I usually love the 46% sort) and yet it's lovely. Quite richly sweet, has a kick and lovely malt. The finish is gorgeous. Definitely worth a try.
