Texas can do it
I was buying bourbon from Royal MIle Whiskies in Edinburgh some years ago when I spied a Texas bourbon (not this one), and said to the young woman who was helping, "Oh, I have never seen a bourbon from Texas before!" She replied that it wasn't much good, and she had license to say so, being herself a Texan. This, however , is delicious and fully recommended.

A Cracking Whisky
Excellent Bourbon. Stand up very well against the competition. A very full taste with hints of sweetness. Overall a great bourbon. Excellent value for money.

Disappointing and not what I expected
Was so excited but sadly disappointed, I’m a big bourbon fan and have tried this three times but the taste is astringent and bitter with harshness but little warmth and no length of flavour.

Worth the money worth the time stunning !!
Normally I go for my usual Four Roses small batch for a welcoming bourbon, took a look on the list of MOM for a new experience in bourbons and came across Balcones Pot Still Bourbon which has exceeded that search such a smooth warm beauty; I’ve never tried a Texas Bourbon before but If they’re all like this I think I’ll be trying a few more, I love my bourbon Neat as it should be, I really think it’s a sin to dilute a good bourbon and Balcones Pot Still Bourbon this is smooth warm delightful and gorgeous the tastes you get with each sip is amazing one recommendation don’t ruin it with a mixer you’ll ruin the taste and it would be a sin to water this beautiful bourbon down !
Well recommended if your searching for another favourite, I’ll certainly be putting this on my favourites list and will be buying again !

Robust and Unique for a Bourbon
So, I came across this a few months ago while watching the Whiskey Tribe on YouTube. A very good review followed. In the world of Bourbon, at least for me, its hard to find a simply unique Bourbon, rather a good quality Bourbon with all the right notes.

In Balcones Pot Still Bourbon you do get the full myriad of Bourbon notes, Cherry, Brown sugar and so on but with the Nose especially you get a Cola and dark molasses, this extends to the palate which holds the Cola and mellows out the honey and cherry notes to create a diverse and approachable Bourbon.

Different from the rest and well worth a try at a very good price.
