Balblair 23 Year Old 1990 (cask 10116) - Kingsbury

A single cask indie bottling of single malt from Balblair, distilled in 1990 and aged in a refill Sherry cask for 23 years. This was bottled by little-known but long-running (and very impressive) independent bottler Kingsbury, with a outturn of 240 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Fresh orchard fruits (peat and apple, mostly) followed by milk chocolate and strawberry laces.

Palate

Spiciness begins to take control on the palate, with clove, nutmeg and a pinch of ginger.

Finish

Robustly oak-y, though balanced by juicy pear.
