A 2004 vintage single malt Scotch whisky from the Balblair distillery in the Highlands, which has been carefully matured in bourbon casks. It was originally launched as a Travel Retail exclusive.
Juicy blood orange, crushed almonds, brown sugar.
Quite nutty and sweet, though creamy vanilla and oak keep it grounded.
Citrus and waxy oak.

Very smooth
A portion of my first bottle of this whisky spilled in my car and as a result I've had a lot of experience with the nose (I've also tried it in a glass) which I have to admit I'm really taken with. I get citrus fruits and honey in a big way. I must admit for me the tasting notes by master of malt are spot on.
