This Balblair was distilled in 1991 and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail for their Private Collection. The whisky has been finished in a Crozes-Hermitage red wine cask for a rich fruity flavour.
Peppercorns and hints of strawberry jam. A little pear juice, hints of baking spices. Vanilla and blueberry. Vanilla.
Vanilla and rich malt. Citrus zest, candied peels and cocoa. Liqueur cherries. Marmalade.
Cocoa and toffee apples.

G&M have executed this with perfection. The nose is like a red wine. Finish long and memorable like a 10 course meal. It just keeps giving and giving with each sip. Worthy!
