Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Crisp, herbal, berries and barley, nutty vanilla.

Palate Sweet, a little earthen quality with a fruity robustness. More vanilla, but now creamier, and gently infused with the oak.

Finish Silken with warm pastries.

Reviews for Balblair 1997
Fantastic, elegant as always from Balblair.
Balblair is probably imho the best of the independent whisky houses, an understated elegance, yet powerful whisky. For the man who has experienced the ups and downs of life and what it has to offer.

Incredible Reviews!
I don´t believe none of these guys can appreciate such an exquisite single malt... delightful delivery, smooth and vanilla to the palate.... incredibly smooth for a relatively young malt... I regularly taste Macallan, Dalwhinnie, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, Chivas 18 and Buchanan's 18... or maybe a Gold Label... and one of my favourites is Caol Ila 12... but this Balblair is a truly delicious liquor for anyone. Newbies or more Refined Malt Drinkers. This Malt is worth every single Pound or Penny you pay for, if you know Malt, otherwise just go with a $25 Bells. But if you want something delicious and give yourself a treat BALBAIR is a great choice! And that´s THE TRUTH!

Disappointing
Kinda disappointing, way to young and both nose and palate is way to strong.
It tastes nothing like 21 years old Glenfarclas.

Bit bland to me
There's too little in the nose and the delivery in the palate is also not that much.
