A Highland single malt, sourced and released by the Badachro Distillery for its Bad na h-Achlaise Collection. Badachro got its hands on two casks of single malt from an undisclosed Highland distillery, and gave the whisky a finishing period in Tuscan red wine casks before bottling it up at 46% ABV.

First came across this in the Whisky Shop below Edinburgh castle and bought it on the basis that it was one I was unlikely to come across in supermarkets in West Yorkshire. Delighted with the result of this punt - a great subtly and lightly peated malt with depth and character. So happy I bought two more bottles from Master of Malt and gave one to a very good Scottish friend who is a real connoisseur and expert on single malts. He shared my enthusiasm which is a real endorsement!
It is like a secret gem ! Taste is Very rich and deep but not well marketed
Very nice indeed - big, peaty, definite oak in the background. I’m no expert whisky taster, but I do like this. 50 ml bottle.
