This indie Aultmore was distilled in 2005, and matured in a single refill bourbon barrel for over a decade. It was bottled at 13 years old on 1 April 2019, though this whisky is no joke! The barrel yielded 252 bottles at 55.2% ABV for the Connoisseurs Choice series, full of creamy citrus and fruit.
Lemon blossom, with lemon shortbread and crisp, underripe orchard fruit.
The orchard fruit becomes stewed, with creamy notes of banana and custard, with a crack of black pepper.
A warm finish of toasty oak.
