12 year old Aultmore single malt Scotch whisky, unveiled in 2014 for the Last Great Malts by Dewar's. A refreshing dram, with plenty of vanilla, honey and citrus, alongside a touch of grassiness. It's been quite a while since a distillery bottling of Aultmore has been released, so this is all rather exciting indeed.

First time sipping an Aultmore. I’m not going to ask it how it’s complex and in the same moment so smooth and elegant. I’m just going to sit back and enjoy its beauty.
A lovey blend of delicate flavours - vanilla, pear and a little herbaceous. Sweet finish. One of my favourites.
Easy to drink, smooth, citrus, honey, hint of vanilla, hint of wax, bitter, no finish. I don't quite like it.
Nose is slightly sweet and fruity like a desert wine initially, as is taste. Then it dries quickly and honey and vanilla appear. Oak takes over a bit with spices and a long fine finish. After a few sips and some air, herby banana and a silky mouthfeel is also there. Rather nice, delicate drink. Quite like it. struth
