Bourbon
An indie Aultmore here, matured in a pair of first-fill bourbon barrels laid down back in June 2009. After a decade of rest, the casks were cracked open in April 2020 and the whisky was bottled up by Signatory. Always a treat to see Aultmore whiskies.
Buttered sourdough, toffee ice cream and crushed cardamom pods.
Lemon peel and orange flesh, followed by honeyed cereal and a hint of hickory.
Milky tea, more honey, a subtle hint of flint and floral barley.
