Auchroisk 8 Year Old 2009 - Strictly Limited (Càrn Mòr)
A youthful independent bottling of Auchroisk here. The 8-year-old single malt Scotch whisky was drawn from a hogshead cask that had been laid down in 2009 and cracked open in 2018 by Càrn Mòr for its Strictly Limited range. It was bottled at 46% ABV without any chill-filtration or additional colouring with an outturn of 399 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Slightly grassy and peppery, with oily walnut and lemon zest.
Palate
Sticky toffee pudding and orange blossom lead with golden barley and brandy snaps in support among a hint of smoke.
Finish
Dried oak and new leather tones linger.
