Auchroisk 20yo Darkness

This right here is a 20 year old single malt from the Auchroisk Distillery, independently bottled as part of the Darkness range. As with the rest of this bottling series, it was given a finishing period in a specially-coopered sherry octave cask - this one, specifically, was finished in an octave that previous held Moscatel sherry. Also like the rest of the range, it's delicious.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Rum-raisin ice cream, toffee sauce and some chocolate shavings. Hints of stewed apple and cinnamon in the background.

Palate Five spice, Seville orange, fruitcake and nutty malt.

Finish More cooked apples and autumnal spices, plus sugared almonds.
