Description
Single cask single malt from the Auchroisk Distillery, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for the Connoisseurs Choice range. It was distilled in 2006 and given a 15 year long maturation in a refill bourbon barrel, before finally being bottled in 2021 at 55% ABV. Just 198 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Liquorice, cinnamon buns, orange peel, a hint of peanut shell.
Palate
More orange peel and cinnamon, with a layer of caramel over the top. Savoury oak developing later on.
Finish
Fresh ginger, crunchy brown sugar, a hint of sawdust.
