Auchroisk Octave

This was distilled in 1988 at the Auchroisk distillery. It was aged in a very small "octave cask", which was made entirely without sherry wood (cask 770686). The result is a very unusual, rich whisky, with an outturn of 73 bottles, bottled by Duncan Taylor.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Floral and fresh with notes of cantaloupe melon, pepper, spices, apricot and a touch of malt.

Palate Soft and fruity with more of those melon notes. It's similar to the aroma of the fruit aisle in a French supermarket, with honeyed sweetness and notes of vanilla.

Finish Good length with apple peels, fresh flowers and malt.
