I'm not big on some of the obscure tasting notes, like 'white flowers' and 'meadow dew' etc.. Simple flavors like raisin, cherry, vanilla, and the mellow fruits of sherry and port casks are good. Peat, smoke, and minerals are also fairly obvious. Skipping all those, it is time to invent a few woody terms of my own for the Three Wood because that is its character. My terms are 'burnt matchstick' and 'chewing on a #2 pencil'. I'm not saying those are bad, but I think the wood overruns what should be an incredible Lowland malt. I will keep a bottle in the collection, but it will take a special mood for me to pour a dram.
This is orgasmic whiskey
Bought a bottle at duty free in Scotland and brought it home. Now buying it in Miami. To me, it tastes like liquid caramel. Perfect with the cigar I am smoking now!
Smooth taste. The ladies love.
This is the dogs danglies. Christmas pudding with brandy sauce in whisky form. Simply one of the best NAS bottlings on the market.
