Auchentoshan Blood Oak (1L)
A 1 litre bottle of Auchentoshan's Blood Oak single malt, which was originally released for the Travel Retail Market. This expression was aged in a combo of bourbon and red wine casks, imparting waves of vanilla and red fruit. Very dramatic name. Very tasty whisky.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Juicy and rich with elegant wine notes, joined by a touch of golden barley.
Palate
Some classic red-wine spiciness starts to ramp up on the palate, with a little bit of Christmas-y clove. Citrus sits in the background.
Finish
Spicy and drying on the finish.
