An Auchentoshan that ought to be awesome right here! It was distilled in October 1992 and set aside to slumber for 27 years in a single hogshead, before being bottled by Càrn Mòr in January 2020. The Lowland single malt was released as part of the Celebration of the Cask range, with an outturn of 235 bottles.
This bottle was part of a private collection and will show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Sweet citrus wafts up front, followed by classic grassy freshness. A slow build of roasted nuts and oat biscuit savoury elements.
Dried apricot, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, milky coffee and vanilla tablet. Still has a bit of oaty fullness to it.
Caraway, toffee, pear and white grape.
