Auchentoshan 18 Year Old 2007 Single Cask (Master of Malt)
Single malt from Auchentoshan, and a lovely one at that! Distilled in 2007, this whisky enjoyed the next 18 years mellowing in a single rye whiskey barrel, developing supple layers of fleshy stone fruit, buttery pastries, and savoury oak. A total of 255 bottles join our exclusive Master of Malt collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Vibrant notes of fleshy peach and apricot open the way, with honeydew melon and waxed lemon peels in tow. Immensely fruity, with hints of sponge cake and frangipane.
Palate
Supple layers of soft stone fruits lead the way, with juicy apricot and vanilla cream, candied lime and a juicy assortment of tropical fruits.
Finish
Savoury oak, crème fraîche, butter biscuits, prunes, peach candies, laminated pastry.
