Auchentoshan 14YO Bottling Note

This 14 year old Auchentoshan single malt Scotch whisky was released for travel retail and bestowed the title 'Cooper's Reserve'. The whisky was drawn from a selection of Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks and North American Sherry casks, resulting in a flavour profile brimming with sugared almonds, dried fruit and creamy vanilla.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Diced almond and crushed hazelnut, drizzled in toffee sauce. Touches of orange oil and fig rolls.

Palate: More fruit than the nose - plenty of raisins, figs and juicy orange. Well balanced with thick vanilla, nuts and a hint of oak.

Finish: Walnut, milk chocolate and that oak-y hint from the mid-palate last.

POWERFUL sweet and oaky

What would happen if you mix Cleynish with Glendronach ?

Caramel monster

OH MY GOD ! I love that whisky. Usually I am more into Laphroaig or Lagavulin which are totally different and not that easy to share with friends and family. Give them this one and they will learn how good and easy whisky can be. I really taste this caramel and crème brulée notes, with a wonderful oily texture and long woody finish. It is also sweeter than a baby's ass... Me love this very much. I think i could drink the all bottle in a single day...

A fantastic single malt

It starts with the bouquet. It lets you know that you are in for a treat. As you take a sip the subtle fruit flavors are right there. And the finish is fantastic. I had to go back for a 2nd pour and suspect I will be ordering more of this fantastic single malt.
