Description

Palo Cortado meets Auchentoshan in this small release from Duncan Taylor’s Octave collection. Distilled in 2011, the Lowland single malt matured for 13 years, including a finish in a Palo Cortado sherry octave, before bottling in 2025. Cask 3547574 yielded just 84 bottles at 54.7% ABV.

Nose

Delicate rose petals and dried apricot, with vanilla sweetness and a little citrus zest.

Palate

Vanilla toffee and soft apricot, lifted by floral notes and a gentle citrus freshness.

Finish

Fading toffee sweetness, dried fruit and a light tobacco note.
