“I had a dram of Auchentoshan 12 at my brother's Irish Pub this week. I was quite impressed. It had such a beautiful nose. I thought that it was light, sweet, floral, mellow and lovely. I will return to this one. ”

Auchentoshan 12 Year Old

Lowland distillery Auchentoshan's flagship single malt whisky, famously triple-distilled which is unusual for a Scotch. This contributes to its signature smooth character, however. It's been matured in both American oak and sherry casks.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

A cereal-sweet nose with notes of guava and mango, with a drizzle of honey.

Palate

Oaky and sweet palate, with barley sugar, a little passion fruit and vanilla custard too. Perhaps some rose petal jelly in there.

Finish

A lengthy, dry and oaky finish with barley sweetness and cocoa powder.
