Description

Two sides of Arran meet in this ten-year-old single malt from Decadent Drinks. Two-thirds comes from an unpeated 2014 vintage matured in a second-fill sherry hogshead, while the remaining third is heavily peated 2016 spirit from a first-fill bourbon barrel. Married and bottled at 52% ABV, the combination brings nutty sherry, savoury coastal notes and warming peat smoke.

Nose

Damp leaves, earthy woodland notes and bonfire smoke, with cured meat, black olive and a salty coastal edge.

Palate

Full and mouth-coating, combining warming spice, earthy peat and nutty sherry, with smoke running throughout.

Finish

Long, leafy and smoky, with leather and a gentle tarry note.
