    Single Malt

    Arran Machrie Moor

The limited edition batches of Arran's peated Machrie Moor single malt have proved very popular indeed. So popular, in fact, that the distillery on the eponymous island has made the decision to add it to its permanent range! Ideal!

The name for this expression comes from a mysterious peat bog on the western side of the island. Not only will you find peat at Machrie Moor, but stone circles too - one of which was apparently used by a giant to tether its dog to. Hence the dog on the label (its name is Bran).

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Peppery malt with a hint of baked earth sneaking in there. Balanced by orchard fruit and eucalyptus.

    Palate

A burst of lychee juice as it opens, before waves of dry smoke and cut grass appear.

    Finish

    Lingering orange zest and lemongrass.

Ohhhh don’t mind if I do scrumptious mmm

Ohhhhh yes! This is wow. I really seriously genuinely literally like that yes I really do. The sniffs, the sips, wow. Flavour will blow your mind out, tasty, scrumptious, yummm. Arran whisky is my friend, my lover, and my god. All hail Arran. I will finish by saying… YES PLEASE!

    Fantastic Peated Whiskey.

Really delicious if you are into your peated whiskies. A cheaper alternative to Lagavulin 16 with a lot of the same qualities. I'd heartily recommend it.
