Description
Cask strength Machrie Moor from the Arran distillery. The Machrie Moor releases comprise of peated single malt from the Island distillery, delivering a hearty core of peat smoke to their whisky. For the first cask strength edition, this bold single malt was bottled at 58.4% ABV and limited to 6,000 bottles worldwide. It's named after the mystical peat bog on the western part of Arran, which is strewn with standing stones.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A robust nose, packed with dried pineapple, dark chocolate and punchy peat. Hints of baking bread too.
Palate
Chewy vanilla toffees, citrus and a subtle grassy character. Peat smoulders and develops throughout, the extra strength adding bit of BBQ char to the palate.
Finish
Fresh fruits and final wisps of smoke.
