    Single Malt

    Arran Machrie Moor Cask Strength

Peated single malt whisky from the isle of Arran, bottled at cask strength. Previous editions have been released in yearly batches, but in 2018, the Arran distillers decided that these whiskies had become so popular that they deserved to be a permanent part of the range! Ideal! This punchy expression is named after the mystical peat bog western side of the island - which is fitting, considering the plentiful peat notes running throughout. Almost like it was planned...

    A lovely drop

Purchased a bottle after a whiskey and chocolate tasting as the distillery - I enjoy both speyside and heavily prayed whiskeys and this is beautiful combination of the two

A delicious touch of smoke making it an excellent whisky.

I love this whisky, it has just the right amount of peaty smoke to make it moreish without being overpowering and medicinal like a Laphroaig.

A great bang for your buck

My first cask strength bottle and the flavours are amplified like I couldn't imagine! Great sipper for the evenings. A touch spicy but the lack of age statement suggests this is just because it is a bit young. All round great buy itll be getting restocked

A jack in a box of flavours

This Is an absolute banger of a Whisky. I like to splash a teaspoon of water into my Cask Strength Drams. And doing so opens up a whole Pandora’s box of nostalgic “tastes like’s” in this. It has a clean crisp sweetness layered over a real smokey baseline. But those overtones.... Is it mango? Is it roasted caramelised peaches? Is it satsuma? Banoffee and vanilla??? Jaffa cakes? It is like the magic gob stopper from Charlie and the chocolate factory. All packaged up with a real clean crisp smokiness that is subtle yet prominent. A lot of dram for your buck
