    Single Malt

    Arran Machrie Moor Cask Strength

Peated single malt whisky from the isle of Arran, bottled at cask strength. Previous editions have been released in yearly batches, but in 2018, the Arran distillers decided that these whiskies had become so popular that they deserved to be a permanent part of the range! Ideal! This punchy expression is named after the mystical peat bog western side of the island - which is fitting, considering the plentiful peat notes running throughout. Almost like it was planned...

    Brilliant Value

A great bang for your buck whisky. The tropical fruits notes are what stood out for me, but nothing too much else to add with the notes already given. Would definitely buy again.

Really nice experience for the price

Let is sit in a glass for half an hour or add some water and enjoy. It's full of aroma and flavour if you can get over the strength of it

    Lovely wee dram.

At 56 abv I thought it would need a lot of water, but 2 of whisky to 1 of water was perfect. The price was amazingly low for the quality of the dram. Will buy again.

    Beautiful whisky

Really enjoyed this dram. lovely interplay between the smoke and fruit. Although this is a peated whisky, don't expect an Islay 'type' - it's far more gentle. There's certainly pineapple - charred pineapple and a lemony citrus flavour, too on the lengthy finish. Would I buy another once this is gone. Yes.

    Perfect

There’s only one thing wrong with this in my opinion; although the bottle appears to be the standard size, it doesn’t last as long.
