Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Producer's Tasting Note:
Nose: Sweet orchard fruits with syrup and toasted oak. Vanilla and light cinnamon spice.
Palate: Sweetness dances on the tongue with chocolate, ginger, caramelised brown sugar and vanilla. Water uncovers floral notes and aromatic orange fondant creams.
Finish: Long, lingering and luxurious. The classic Arran citrus and orchard fruits mingle with milk brioche and dark chocolate. A memorable depth of character, Arran is fully mature at 18 years-old

I love Arran, but this one is my favourite, I cannot wait to get another bottle

The new kid on the block is knocking it out of the park

Nose: Creamy fresh oak, layered not cut fresh. There is a medinical taint, pleasant, that draws me back to my childhood, but like Nod, its hidden from me

Palate: Generous mouth feel. There is a pine gentle medinical mouthfeel...and better it is for it. This is lovely.

After: Cola bottles. Remember them. I'm in that space now and loving it. This is beautiful. More wood spice to underpin it.

Love it

I love the harmonious relationship between sweet and spice on a back ground of balanced cereal notes.

Buy the 14 instead!

Bought a bottle of this 2 years ago whilst on Arran and opened the other day. Slightly disappointed considering the good reviews. The Arran 14 is one of my favourites and I think better and considerably cheaper.
Perhaps it will grow on me as did the Arran Bothy QC.

An amazing 18 year old

Similar to the last comment, I’ve tried many single malts and this is up there with the best of them. Smooth rich caramel toffee is what I get from it. I haven’t had a bad scotch from Arran yet. I will definitely buy this again

One of my favourite whiskies and I've been fortunate enough to try many! I think for the price this is as good as it gets!

Superb!

Don't hesitate if you see it on the shelf! Otherwise it may to late, I'm thinking about buying all the bottles. Seriously, I'm not that impressed by the Arran 14. But this 18... is o.u.t.s.t.a.n.d.i.n.g!
