Description

The sherried half of Ardnamurchan’s 2026 Heritage Barley pairing takes unpeated spirit made from Golden Promise barley and matures it in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks. It’s a useful opportunity to explore how the same distillate behaves in different wood, particularly alongside the bourbon-cask release. Bottled at 58.4% ABV, natural colour without chill filtration.

Nose

Cherries steeped in brandy, blackberry and blueberry pastry, with gingerbread and a fresh touch of spearmint.

Palate

Toffee and maple syrup sweetness, followed by ginger, cardamom, fresh leather and dark rye bread.

Finish

Long and jammy, with warming spice lingering beneath the rich fruit.
