Ardnamurchan AD/10.21:06 Bottling Note

Marvellously well-balanced single malt Scotch whisky from Ardnamurchan, made with 50% peated and 50% unpeated malt at its heart. This expression (which has the catchy name AD/10.21:06) was aged in a combination of 65% bourbon casks and 35% sherry casks, further helping the balance with notes of creamy vanilla, oaky spice, and warming dried fruit.

A lesson that age isnt everything

Thanks to the QR code on the bottle you can see the range of about 60casks this was produced from, a variety from 2014-2016 so blended from 5 to 7 year old spirit. Would never have guessed that, its so smooth and well balanced. Massively superior to the 12yo Kilkerran procured at the same time. Highly recommended, only 2nd in 2021 to Arran Machrie Moor cask strength.
