Ardnahoe Bholsa
An exciting opportunity to check out the single malt from Islay's Ardnahoe distillery following its inaugural release in 2024. Bholsa is matured predominantly in oloroso sherry casks and bottled without added colour or chill filtration at a generous 50% ABV for a splendid profile of rich dried fruits, juicy stone fruits, and balanced peppery peat.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dried cranberries and summer berries, a touch of hibiscus, earthy roasted nuts, flamed orange peels, and bonfire smoke.
Palate
Juicy, fruity layers of plump raisins, dates, plums, and figs, followed by burnt biscuits, woody cinnamon, and peppery peat smoke.
Finish
Smoke lingers alongside candied fruits, a touch of ginger, and peppercorn warmth.
