From cracking indie bottling range The Cooper's Choice comes a seven year old Ardmore single malt, distilled back in December 2013 and initially aged in American oak. Before being bottled in 2021, it was given a finishing period in Madeira wine casks, which has introduced a scoopful of red fruit sweetness to the softly smoky whisky. A release of 228 bottles.
Gingerbread, flamed orange peel, damson and stewed plums.
Oatcakes, toasted barley with a touch of nuttiness to it (think almond flakes and honey-roasted peanuts), brown sugar.
Softly peppery smoke, contrasted by a sweet hint of strawberry.
