A tasty collaborative bottling between The Whisky Agency and Thompson Bros., released for the 20th anniversary of the Dornoch Castle Hotel's whisky bar. This well-aged Ardmore single malt was distilled in 1998 and bottled with an outturn of just 162 bottles at 21 years old.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasted barley, soft vanilla fudge, frangipane and ground cinnamon.
Palate
Very slightly meaty, but maintains well-rounded notes of apple tart and hazelnut spread.
Finish
Sultana, almond again, still a touch of flaky pastry underneath.
