A 21 year old single cask single malt from the Ardmore Distillery, independently bottled by A.D. Rattray. It was distilled back in May 1998, aged in a bourbon hogshead and bottled in June 2019 with an outturn of only 248 bottles, presented at cask strength.
Nose Marmalade on rye bread, soft earthy smoke, a hint of coconut.
Palate Gummi bears (the red ones, specifically), somewhat meaty at points, sea salt and black pepper crisps, honey and barley.
Finish Buttery and spicy.
