Single cask single malt from the brilliant Ardmore distillery! This expression was aged for 21 years, from 1996 to 2017, before being bottled by Adelphi with an outturn of just 236 bottles.
Grassy at first, though soon enough notes of caramel and macadamia nut sweetness take over. A hearty helping of burning pine wafts through.
Burnt orange peel and toasted oatcake, cinnamon and clove, oily barley and some prune sweetness.
Lasting earthy smoke. Very long.
