Gordon & MacPhail is back with its retro labels and fabulous whisky as part of its Distillery Labels series! This is a 1999 vintage Ardmore, bottled up in 2018 at 43% ABV. Spices and red fruit to the fore in this Highlander!
Warming baking spices underpin aromas of cooked plum and dried apple.
Treacle toffee and peppery oak, alongside jammy forest fruits and touches of marmalade.
Plump raisin sweetness balanced by dry spice.
Not worth the price.
I expected more. Price for price I wish I’d bought 3 bottles of the Legacy.
