Ardmore 12 Year Old 2006 (cask 800961) - Berry Bros. & Rudd
An indie bottling of single malt from the Ardmore Distillery, aged for 12 years in a single cask - from 2006 to 2019. After a dozen years of slumber, Berry Bros. & Rudd came along and bottled it up at cask strength. Enjoyably toasty stuff here from the distillery in the Highlands.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
BBQ charred lemon, honeyed malt and soft wafts of heather.
Palate
Surprisingly coastal at first, with sea salt and a touch of samphire, though shortly followed by cassia, black pepper, honeydew melon and crunchy brown sugar.
Finish
A final lingering hint of meaty smoke on the finish.
