It's an indie Ardmore from Berry Bros. & Rudd! Distilled in 2009, the Highlander was matured in casks which previously held Islay whisky, so there's a subtle smokiness among the whisky's fruity character. Just 934 bottles were released at 11 years old for the Small Batch series.
Barbecue smoke and a savoury coastal influence alongside ripe orchard fruit and touches of creamy sweetness.
Charred herbs, liquorice and fresh pear, with subtle vanilla.
A smoky and sweet finish.
